Halcyon Days of Autumn

Yes it’s autumn in British & Australian term, not fall, apparently. Nothing quite nifty has happened over the past +/- one week. Summer has passed; we’re welcoming Autumn’s breeze with alacrity. Everything becomes so beautiful and tranquil–perfect temperature, falling leaves, a view of father & son running along Lake Burley Griffin, a surreptitious glance of newlyweds sharing a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows in a slightly illuminated corner under orange-yellowish shades. And yes, hot chocolate and marshmallows: Max Brenner has just come to town, what a perfect timing.

Apart from all elements currently revolving around this body, I have learned some small values concerning life. Having chatted with a pure-hearted Indonesian living overseas since childhood who gently & sincerely admonished me in regards to the subtle meaning of nationalism, I gained a small, valuable increment in understanding what loyalty to a nation is. Having read Richard Holmes’ ‘The Age of Wonder’, I realized that I haven’t comprehended the meaning of science and learning with the utmost profundity, implying that I must learn more.

What else? Let’s see. I wonder what days would look like without a summer bee.
